Duties and Responsibilities: The types of things the Optician do
is help their patient’s select eyeglass frames and then measure their faces so
that the correct size can be ordered for them. Optician also measure the distance between the corneas of the
eyes so that the lenses may be correctly on having the same size.
Salary: $19,000-$40,000
Education: To be Optician students must take high school courses
in algebra, mechanical drawing, physics, and geometry. To be in training you
will need a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
