"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistance.

TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unseccessful men with talent.

EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will the probelms of the human race."

30th president of US (1872-1933)

I think this statement is true becuase he is explaining the truth about about Talent that nothing can take the place of persistance and that not even genius but that education is full of that arond the world. Nothing in gthe world would take persistance and that persitatance is very important.

Student Success Statement

"Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement."
Matt Biondi
Olympic Gold Medal Winner, World Record Holder
I think this statement is true because you can’t achieve anything unless you fail on it because the first thing you need to do is fail at something to practice more and then you will achieve it that will turn into achievement. For example being in a sport and you’re  having your first game and you lose then that won’t bring you anything bad only achievement because you’re going to push yourself to win the next game and the next game.

President John F. Kennedy

The things that President John F. Kennedy said in the video were the importance about Physical Fitness and it showed us how they were exercising to maintain a healthy body like President John F. Kennedy said in the Student Success Statement. He was also explaining how Physical Fitness is important to you and your body.

Student Success Statment

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationships between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what Greeks knew: that intelligence and the skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."
President John F. Kennedy
I think this statement is true because everything the statement is saying is true everything is important to physical fitness because that is very important because that’s what keeps you from being on a diet and also making you realize that you should maintain a healthy weight and body. For example having a balance diet will bring you nutrients to your body making you wake up in the mornings.

"No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate."

I think this statement is true because you can always do the right thing without anyone telling you what to do. For example doing a homework assignment to get a good grade, your teacher doesnt always have to tell you that you have homework you can ask her for extra credit. Another way why i think this statement is true because maybe not being ask for doing the things you may get rewarded.

"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself."
Henry Ward Beecher
I think what this statement is trying to say is that don’t make blame others for the mistakes you do be responsible is your problem and you can fix it. For example taking a test and not studying and then when you get a bad score on the test you blame the teacher for not teaching the things right or because they didn’t show you that information or also because they didn’t give you enough time.
