Duties
and Responsibilities: Histology specialists work in hospital, pharmacy,
veterinary clinics, and research laboratories. The types of things Histology Specialist do
are cut sections of body tissues for microscopic examination using
microtomes. Teach students or other staff. They specialize in working with
and preparing microscopic tissue samples. They work with tissue samples
from humans, plants or animals to test in a microscope.
Salary: $22,000 - $35,000

Education: To become a Histology Specialist student must
have to take the challenging high school courses Math, English, Science. Students must either earn an associate’s degree or
complete a long-term training program in a histopathology lab or a one year
internship.
Reflection:
Do you think you would like to be a Histology Specialist? Why or Why not? This
would be something interesting to work as it seems interesting and I really
would like to learn more about the types of training they have.
